2019 nor'easter off subtropical storm melissa

A subtropical storm called Melissa puked out what turned out to be a pain in the rear nor'easter.  Nor'easters are supposed to be very windy and very cold.  This storm was windy but not that windy.  It was warm, in the mid-seventies.  It was sunny.

BUT THE OCEAN!  The ocean was as angry as it gets.  It severely damaged the dunes down Ocean View drive covering up a number of pools and properties.  The water was intense and lasted a week after on Highway 12 between the condo and the Food Lion.

Power was off for about six hours due to ... wait for it ... salt spray that dried on the power lines.  The ocean spray was coating the power lines and causing low level shorts.  Here is a photo of the fire department washing off one such switch.
